In this portrait, Laura Kraft, Leisure Travel Consultant at Paull Travel, is surrounded by generous strokes of greens, whites, and blues. Flowers and foliage seem to grow directly into the portrait, blurring the distinction between subject and setting.

Since joining Paull Travel in 2013, Laura has used her talent for constructing complex itineraries to send her clients all over the world. The layered vegetation offers a subtle parallel to her work. Leaves overlap, flowers emerge unexpectedly, and individual brushstrokes intersect in different directions; yet everything ultimately belongs within one carefully balanced composition. It mirrors the challenge of bringing complex components and multiple destinations together into a journey that makes perfect sense.

The garden setting is more than decoration: for Laura, being surrounded by green is where she feels most naturally at ease. Outside of work, Laura is happiest outdoors and particularly enjoys spending time in her garden. “The Garden Route” plays on Laura’s two worlds. Both require patience, careful planning, and an understanding of how many individual pieces can work together to form a cohesive whole.
