In this richly textured portrait, Shaila Sedani, Leisure Travel Consultant at Paull Travel, is framed by sweeping shades of midnight and cobalt blue, interrupted by glints of warm gold. The dramatic palette gives the piece a contemporary flair, while Shaila’s relaxed expression softens the composition, capturing the approachable nature for which she has become known to her clients.

Since joining Paull Travel in 2021, Shaila has quickly found her place within the Leisure team. Her clients love working with her. The title of the piece, “The Rising Star” is fitting as Shaila was recently recognized by Ensemble Travel with the Rising Star Award. The portrait captures a girl at the beginning of what promises to be a long career in travel.

The golden tones scattered throughout the painting offer a subtle nod to sunshine and Shaila’s own favourite kind of escape. Whether it is a quick trip to Vegas or an easy getaway somewhere warm, she understands the joy of trading everyday life for a few days of blue skies, beaches and sunshine.
